In episode 149 of the Futurized podcast (@Futurized2), the topic is: Melanoma awareness. Our guest is Deb Girard, Executive Director, Impact Melanoma (@IMPACTMelanoma).

In this conversation with futurist Trond Arne Undheim (@trondau), they talk about the story of Impact Melanoma, what steps you can take at home matter the most to reducing melanoma risk at the individual level and what the verdict on melanoma will be 10 years from now?

Trond's takeaway

Melanoma, the most lethal skin cancer, is not going away, but we are learning more about how to avoid it, how to manage it, and how to one day, cure it through personalized treatments. In the meantime, melanoma awareness is where the game is at, and we can all do a bit to help raise awareness around us. You can personally help individuals in your surroundings reduce their exposure, discover a mole that needs to be checked out, or care for melanoma victims or affected family members. This one is personal to me, I know first hand how melanoma can kill. Trust me when I say, you want to avoid this fate for somebody you care about.
