Kenneth Stanley Profile Photo

CEO & founder

Kenneth is a leading researcher in AI, with 25K+ citations in Google Scholar, 10+ best paper awards, and two paper of the decade awards. He invented several popular AI algorithms, including NEAT, novelty search, HyperNEAT, and CPPNs. Currently, he is using everything he has learned about AI and machine learning throughout his 15+ year tech career to develop Maven, a brand new social network disrupting the traditional online experience by eliminating addictive elements such as likes and followers.
On the network that has caught the attention of top tech leaders, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Twitter Co-Founder EV Williams, instead of following people, you follow topics or interests and connect with like-minded individuals, fostering discussions around shared passions rather than popularity contests of likes.
Until recently, Kenneth was the Open-Endedness Team Leader at OpenAI, one of the world's top AI research organizations, and the creator of ChatGPT. Before that, he co-founded AI startup Geometric Intelligence, which was acquired by Uber to create Uber AI Labs, where he headed Core AI research for several years.
